Surgical applications of drug delivery systems

The current research group is a multidisciplinary team that allows it to address different areas of interest focused on experimental and translational surgery. The research group is focused on the development of biodegradable drug-eluting devices through polymeric matrices, which allow local drug instillation, allowing greater precision and reduction in the dose of the active ingredient. Another important research activity is focused on the development of cardiac devices, mainly on the design of a definitive artificial implantable ventricle. The group's activity is focused on the research projects they are implementing in these two research activities.
