STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES

  • Advance in the knowledge of the pathophysiological mechanisms involved in different multisystemic diseases.
  • Identify biomarkers and potential therapeutic targets, as well as to develop prognostic models with clinical application in both acute or chronic complex pathologies.
  • Develop, apply and evaluate new technologies and diagnostic and therapeutic tools, as well as new prevention and treatment strategies, in patients with complex pathologies.
  • Promote synergies between the different research lines of the Group, and collaborate with other groups, researchers and structures of IRYCIS.
  • Integration and active participation in cooperative networks, working groups and multicenter, national and international registries.
  • Strengthen and expand alliances and collaborations with the business sector in clinical research.
  • Generate new and complementary with current ones' research lines, in line with the strategic objectives of IRYCIS and national and European research agendas.

RESEARCH LINES

  • Heart failure in complex chronic patients
  • Pathophysiological and therapeutic bases of cardiovascular prevention
  • Venous thromboembolism prophylaxis
  • Hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia
  • Inherited metabolic diseases in adults
  • Systemic autoimmune diseases
  • Hemato-oncological diseases in elderly patients
