Strategic objectives
Study of lipid metabolism, especially cholesterol, in physiology and pathology, in order to establish the biological role of certain lipids, identify mechanisms and design strategies with therapeutic potential.
Research lines
- Actions of cholesterol on cell proliferation.
- Food allergy.
- Effect of drugs with amphiphilic amine nature on lipid homeostasis.
- Functionality of HDL and its alterations.
- Regulation of gene expression in obesity and its relationship with lipid metabolism.
