Strategic objectives

Transferring all knowledge and known techniques in the management of luminescent nanoparticles to direct application fields in the area of biomedicine, via the establishment of solid collaborations with clinical groups.

Research lines

  • Development of new luminescent nano-structures to obtain high penetration three-dimensional images.
  • Development of new luminescent nano-structures for the development of minimally invasive therapies.
  • Development of new experimental bioimaging systems for high penetration and minimal interaction for in vivo and in vitro applications.
  • Development of optical tools for the management of individual cells for the study of their intra-cellular dynamics.
  • Knowledge and prediction of the toxicity phenomena of luminescent nanoparticles.
  • Synthesis of biocompatible nanoparticles for the vehiculization of microRNAs.
