PCF CHALLENGE AWARDS 2023

A través de esta convocatoria se anima principalmente a la presentación de proyectos que analicen las disparidades del cáncer de próstata y el origen de estas diferencias, incluyendo el estudio de pacientes de poblaciones subrepresentadas.

Áreas de interés:

Immunotherapy for the treatment of metastatic, lethal prostate cancer.
Targeted radionuclide therapy for advanced prostate cancer.
New systemic precision treatments for metastatic, lethal prostate cancer including those targeting the currently 'undruggable'.
First-in-field research on new targets for systemic treatment of metastatic, lethal prostate cancer.
Mechanisms of resistance to current and investigational drugs targeting the androgen receptor and androgen axis, immune system, chemotherapy, and other targeted agents.
Correlative research around either clinical trials of novel agents or strategies or standard of care.
Determinants of survivorship that will improve the lives of patients with metastatic prostate cancer.
Developing or validating biomarkers that guide therapy in patients or further our understanding of the mechanisms by which therapies work.
Tumor microenvironment signaling related to cancer progression including the immune component.
New data science technologies for analysis of genomic information to advance precision medicine.
Research to define causes and solutions for racial and ethnic prostate cancer health disparities.

Requirements

Los candidatos/as solicitantes deberán:

Pertenecer a centros de investigación académica sin ánimo de lucro.
Ser equipos de investigación compuestos por, al menos, tres investigadores con experiencia científica relevante.
Incluir en el equipo un investigador/a joven (aquel/lla que sea becario/a postdoctoral, investigador/a asociado/a, profesor/a asistente, o equivalente, cuyo título profesional no exceda los seis años desde su obtención o MD, PhD, MD-PhD, DSc, ScD, DDM, etc. y no haya percibido una ayuda para la investigación superior a 300.000$).

La solicitud se realizará enviando un correo dirigido a LettersOfIntent(ELIMINAR)@pcf.org, indicando en el asunto “(Nombre completo): 2023 Challenge LOI”.

Procedimiento:

Envío de expresión de interés antes del 10 de marzo de 2023. Se mandará una carta de expresión de interés según modelo: LOI Form y un CV del IP en formato NIH biosketch.
Las propuestas que pasen exitósamente la primera fase tendrán que presentar la propuesta completa antes del 15 de mayo de 2023.
