Reumatología

El grupo centra sus proyectos de investigación en las enfermedades musculoesqueléticas no traumáticas, fundamentalmente las enfermedades autoinmunes (Lupus, Esclerodermia, Vasculitis, Miopatias inflamatorias,...), y las artropatías inmunomediadas (artritis reumatoide, artritis psoriásica, espondiloartritis,...). El grupo ha realizado principalmente estudios de investigación clínica (descripción de fenotipos de enfermedades, respuesta a tratamientos) y en los últimos años se ha añadido investigación básica (histopatología, inmunología, y genética). De igual forma se han desarrollado proyectos innovadores (formación de pacientes reumáticos, imagen térmica en artritis, dispositivos móviles para seguimiento de enfermedades crónicas) para la aplicación a la práctica clínica. Cuatro miembros del grupo son doctores y otros 5 están acabando su doctorado en investigación. Disponemos de registros actualizados de grupos de enfermedades, situación clínica y los tratamientos avanzados (biológicos) pautados. Disponemos de una colección de muestras biológicas de todas estas enfermedades autoinmunes en distintos estadios de evolución y distintos tratamientos.
