International Clinical Symposium "Precision Medicine for Chronic Inflammatory Diseases"
The International Clinical Symposium "Precision Medicine for Chronic Inflammatory Diseases" (fully in English) is planned for early July 2022 in the indication areas dermatology-gastroenterology-rheumatology-pneumology on Friday/Saturday, 1 and 2 July 2022 in Kiel.
More than 40 renowned speakers have been invited and 14 industry partners are supporting the symposium. All lectures and discussions will be streamed online, but we will have a limited number of participants live in Kiel.
Online participation in the event is free, as is the on-site event for PMI members, members of the following umbrella organisations that have taken on the patronage of the symposium: DDG, DGVS, DGiM, DGRH as well as through the mediation of our industry partners. Nevertheless, we kindly ask you to register.
The LÄK has certified the symposium with 12 CME points in category B.
Chronic inflammatory diseases, which affect important organs such as the intestine, skin, lungs and joints, but can also occur in almost all other organs of the body, represent one of the greatest therapeutic challenges in medicine. With new, targeted therapies, a turning point in the treatment of these diseases is imminent. Part of this change will be the development of systems medicine, which, analogous to oncology, is based on interdisciplinary expertise.
Our symposium therefore consists of two parts:
On Friday, we will focus on the most important problems in inflammatory medicine, with interdisciplinary tandem, triple or quadruple lectures combining the expertise of different medical specialties. The lectures will be given in English, but there will be simultaneous translation into German.
This will be followed on Saturday by case discussions in each discipline, where we will discuss the best approaches for early therapy and for complicated cases.
Industry-sponsored satellite symposia will give you the opportunity to explore individual therapies and innovative therapeutics in depth.
