    Sterols analysis

Analysis of sterols (cholesterol, desmosterol, 7-dehydrocholesterol, etc.) in plasma, tissues or cells. The study includes the extraction of saponifiable lipids and the separation of sterols by HPLC and their quantification using the specific absorbance.

Estimated execution time of 15 days

    Cholesterol biosynthesis

Cholesterol biosynthesis (incorporation of radioactive acetate into the different sterols of the biosynthetic pathway). The study includes the incubation of the cells in the presence of the tracer, the extraction of lipids, the separation of sterols by HPLC and the quantification of their radioactivity.

Estimated execution time of 15 days

Human low density lipoprotein (LDL) for research

Human low density lipoprotein (LDL) for research. Isolated by ultracentrifugation and characterized.

Estimated execution time according to max availability. 20 days

Acetylated low density lipoprotein (LDL), for research use

Acetylated low density lipoproteins (LDL) for research use. Human LDL isolated by ultracentrifugation, marked by acetylation and characterized.

Estimated execution time according to max availability. 20 days

Low density lipoproteins (LDL) labeled with DiI, for research use

Low density lipoproteins (LDL) labeled with DiI for research use. Human LDL isolated by ultracentrifugation, labeled with DiI and characterized.

Estimated execution time according to max availability. 20 days
